Management and dissemination of R&D results information at Japan Atomic Energy Agency; Focusing on researcher information

Murata, Ryutaro; Ebisawa, Naomi

Joho No Kagaku to Gijutsu, 71(5), p.226 - 231, 2021/05

AA2020-0821.pdf:1.09MB

The Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) manages R&D results information and disseminates it through an institutional repository, based on the information which researchers at JAEA input electronically for the approval process for posting R&D results and patent application. JAEA manages and disseminates R&D results efficiently and effectively by authority control for information on conferences, materials, and researchers, etc. In this article, we will focus on the information about researchers, introduce our authority control, describe the newly researcher information dissemination efforts through researchmap, and describe future issues and prospects.

System management for aggregation of knowledge on marine geological survey in coastal areas

Takahashi, Tadao*; Sato, Toshinori; Masunaga, Kosuke

JAEA-Review 2017-030, 60 Pages, 2018/01

JAEA-Review-2017-030.pdf:4.32MB

The amount of the information such as the data, models and analysis results related to geological environment has been enormous. It is believed that an appropriate organization of the information is useful for conducting geological environment survey work at the candidate sites of geological disposal. The Survey on Geological Disposal Technology projects commissioned by METI that started in FY2015 handles various information such as the data, models, analysis results, etc. of geological environment. In this project, in preparation for collection and compilation of the information on geological environment in coastal areas, we have made clear the current status of the existing systems including databases. At the same time, we have created measures for centralized information management for the purpose of organizing a huge amount of information as well as sharing the information and information management systems among the related organizations.

System concept for FBR cycle data base

Kofuji, Hirohide; ; *; *;

JNC TN9400 2000-055, 49 Pages, 2000/03

JNC-TN9400-2000-055.pdf:2.07MB

Accompanying with the progress of the "Feasibility study on FBR cycle system; FS" , various kinds of technical information, facility design parameters, and related data will be obtained and they should be stored in data bases and be used as fundamental data for the FS. So the several data bases are going to be set up at each section and controlled by the management system through a local area network. Among above data bases, a prototype of FBR cycle data base that will record data for FBR scenario study and synthetic assessment is to be completed in. Phase l by fiscal year 2000, so the data base system concept has been examined in the current fiscal year, 1999. As the results of the system concept examination, two types of prototypes have been selected, one is to be set up as the data table containing digital data that are extracted from technical papers, another is as image data of papers with index information. Referring to examples of data bases in other companies, it was kept in mind to use a package software for general purpose and to utilize data existing now.

JNC TN8440 2000-004, 93 Pages, 2000/03

JNC-TN8440-2000-004.pdf:3.7MB

TCMD (Tokai Construction Maintenance Division) Intranet System Integration has started in 1995. The first active activities between 1995 and 1996 has reported in a previous PNC report (PNC PN8440 97-032 TCMD Intranet System Integration Part 1). This is the second active activity's report between 1997 and 1999. Main content of this report is as follows. TCMD Intranet System Integration has completed by TCMD LAN system construction with high-speed LAN equipments and WINS services. TCMD group scheduler and conference rooms appointment system has developed by the operation of Exchange Server 5.5. The plant construction management data base system has developed - ACCESS 97/SQL Server 6.5 version. The plant construction management data base system has also developed---Internet Explorer / Active Server Pages version. The formal TCMD homepage service has begun in l998.

This paper reports development of ISRE (the Integrated System for Repository Engineering), as a knowledge management tool on the repository design and engineering technology, which manages and inherits the information and knowledge of each phase of the disposal project of the radioactive waste during around 100 years, which also enables reasonable design of the repository by using accumulated and integrated information. Content of this paper is current status of the prototype of the iSRE.
